Earlier this year, Montefiore announced a plan to lay off 12 utilization management nurses and replace them with an AI-powered software.
The effects of the layoffs are already being felt across the healthcare system: Three CTCC nurses at Montefiore Moses have been bumped out of their jobs, causing undue stress and harm.
But it doesn't have to be this way. For months, the Montefiore Weiler CTCC department has had unfilled vacancies, forcing nurses there to work understaffed. The new Moses SICU is also in need of a CTCC nurse.
The Montefiore Moses CTCC nurses impacted by the layoffs should be able to apply for the unfilled vacancies to ease the disruption, stress, and burden caused by the layoffs. But first Montefiore needs to post the open jobs.
Take action today by writing to Montefiore management and demanding that they immediately post the open Montefiore CTCC positions so that no further harm is caused to these three nurses' livelihoods!
